Run Club Parents,
THERE IS A NEW CHANGE IN SCHEDULE!! Due to the rainy forecast expected on Friday, we are altering a few things to give our runners the best possible outcome to finish run club this year. Please read below for the new run club schedule.
Wednesday, May 1, 2024: RACE DAY FOR ALL STUDENTS: PLEASE WEAR YOUR RUN CLUB SHIRTS! Fourth grade will now be completing their final race Wednesday morning, rather than Friday. Fifth graders who are not attending the race at the middle school will also complete their final run during the Wednesday AM race. Fifth graders will still be running after school at the middle school, as originally planned. We are asking those fifth grade run club kids to join us in cheering on their teammates who are running that morning. Fifth graders participating in the middle school race will ONLY be cheering, not running, since they will race that afternoon. We still want both groups to wear their Henning Run Club shirts on this day.
Friday, May 3, 2024: CELEBRATION DAY! Friday morning, we will be having a celebration for all runners. Students will receive their certificates and treats during this final meeting and (if the weather decides to cooperate) we will have a final “fun run” as a whole group. This meeting will end our run club for the year! This will be for ALL run club participants.
We apologize for the last minute change. Unfortunately, the weather does not always work in our favor, and we just want to ensure all participants get a chance to finish the club with a good race. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out.
