Please check your child’s folder and complete the enclosed vision screening consent form and return to school by 1/23/26.
In Illinois, all preschool students must have their vision and hearing screened at school annually. The Troy Lions Club will be at Henning to conduct screenings on February 3, 2026. The SPOT scanner that the Lions club uses is 85-90% effective in screening for some of the most common childhood vision issues. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Nurse Meg at 618-667-5401 ext 6144.

The Prenatal to Three program serves families living in the Triad School District that are expecting a baby or have children under the age of 3. Our program provides weekly home visits for families in which we use the Parents as Teachers curriculum, and through our program, parents are supported as they interact and learn more about their child. Parents are provided with developmental information, and children receive health, hearing, vision, and developmental screenings throughout the program year. Additionally, parent educators link families to community resources as needed, and all participating families are invited to attend group connections throughout the month.
